From our President

Why ENSV-FVI answers the concerns of this world?

Feeding the world is the purpose for many jobs on our planet. First in quantity, so that everyone has at least a subsistence ration. This means that the amount of amino acids needed for the survival of the human species is sufficient. But also quality: the absence of specific diseases is essential. Health and nutrition must go hand in hand: conflicting alerts are numerous across the world from one continent to another.

ENSV-FVI answers these essential questions about the future of humanity. The French experts are at the disposal of countries that have a real concern about their future in the field of nutrition. French expertise, from veterinary schools, is renowned for its excellence and seriousness. It is therefore an asset of influence of great importance across the planet.

Why am I proud to be the President of the International Commission of ENSV-FVI?

Coming from a family background involved in veterinary education, I am very proud to be the president of a body whose competence is recognized. When I was Minister of Cooperation in 1995, I have always put first the fair development, that is to say, fairly shared between urban and rural areas. The development expressed by an overall growth rate by country is a deception. What is essential is how it is distributed so that men are treated with fairness and justice. Beyond animal health and human health, the challenge is a joint global health policy. The animal is both a contributor to human health, and at the same time carries harmful germs and epidemics. The veterinarian is the tireless global servant of human and animal health and well-being.
